My plan was to post at least seasonally on this blog but so many things have happened this past year, most notably a big move, that it just hasn’t happened. I have, however, been better at sharing my work on Instagram so feel free to check that out if you’re interested: good_press_ceramics
It’s been a great year for commissions. I may do one more this year, but for the most part, I’m hoping to focus on creating new pieces. Here are a few things I’m currently working on.
The first images are my new lily pad and waterlily tiles. I’m imaging the lily pads as bright green but not sure how to finish the lily pads and frogs. I may try a combination of underglazes and celadons. The next images are of my new snail palette. I know they’re around all year, but it feels like snails are everywhere in the fall. It’s my first two part palette and takes more work to press and assemble than my one piece palettes. I think it will be a limited edition piece. The final image is my newest tessellating animal, the snowy owl. This is one of my most complex tessellations so it may take a little fine tuning to get them to lock together properly. I’ll post more photos when they’re done.
